It opens with resin. Elemi comes in both citrusy and balsamic, and that is what sets this opening apart from an ordinary aromatic fragrance. Rosemary adds an herbaceous edge, dry and clean, and cypress closes with its dark green, almost coniferous character. It is a perfume of grass and wood, with no sweetness at any point.
701 Eau de Cyprès is the aromatic eau de parfum from Bon Parfumeur. The Parisian house places it at an outdoor meal in the Camargue, in a garden of aromatic plants, with the breeze moving the scent between the table and the plants. It is the most herbaceous reference in its numbering.
