It opens fresh and herbal, with bergamot and lemon and a base of aromatic herbs that gives it a country cologne feel. The heart is Bourbon geranium and it does not share the spotlight: it comes out green and leafy at first, then rosy and floral, and finally turns powdery. The drydown is warm and classic, with tonka bean, labdanum, oakmoss, soft woods, and a discreet vanilla. The sweetness and weight stay midway.

Geranium Absolue is an aromatic fougère eau de parfum by Andy Tauer, who both signs it and handcrafts it in Switzerland, and it was released in 2026. The house built it around the full personality of geranium, to move through it from leaf to flower, and describes it as unisex and for any season.

It stays close to the skin and works all year round, which is unusual in a fougère. It is the third in the Absolue line that we carry: Rose Absolue does the same with rose and Vanilla Absolue with vanilla. And if you are looking for that same aromatic green feel in another register, L'Air des Alpes Suisses takes it to the mountains and L'Air Du Jardin Caché to the floral garden.

Both are by Andy Tauer and from his Absolue line, which dedicates each perfume to a single material. Geranium Absolue revolves around Bourbon geranium, green and aromatic; Rose Absolue is centered on rose, with amber and soft woods. We also have Vanilla Absolue.
