It opens with bright grapefruit and the citrus spark of timut pepper, which gives it an edge without turning it sharp. At the heart, rose softens it and cinnamon warms it from within, and the base settles into dry vetiver, a thread of tobacco, and the creaminess of sandalwood. It is a citrus scent that does not fade away: it stays on the skin, turning into something warm and spicy.
Golden Coast is a spicy citrus eau de parfum from AVAU, the Italian house launched in 2025, created by its perfumer and co-founder Caterina Catalani, trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. AVAU sees each perfume as a personal promise, and Golden Coast’s, according to the brand, is to be present and feel the moment you are living.
It works during the day in spring and summer, and also in autumn if you want a citrus scent with substance. If you want a light citrus that disappears in an hour, this is not it: here the grapefruit rests on woods and spices. In the same house, Sculpted Land shares its vetiver in a darker key, and Amber Shadow takes tobacco into the night.
