Do you want to know more about this perfume?
Intense eau de toilette that captures the pure, sensual essence of a Moroccan night. Sitting on the bed, watching the moon rise over the sandy hills of the Sahara desert, Andy Tauer dreamed up the fragrance of a night in Morocco. This perfume has become a classic, offering an unforgettable olfactory experience that lasts over time.
The top notes of coriander, cumin, and petitgrain awaken the senses, while the warm heart of rockrose and a touch of jasmine adds depth and warmth. Finally, the dry woods of cedar and vetiver combine with a base of ambergris to create a lasting, sophisticated foundation. Ideal for wearing at any time of year, especially in spring to enjoy its freshness and charm.
L'Air du Désert Marocain, the Desert Air by Andy Tauer
The name means «the Moroccan desert air», and that is why in Spain many look for it as Desert Air. It is No 02 from Tauer Perfumes, the house of Andy Tauer, who handcrafts it in Switzerland. The brand presents it as eau de toilette intense and describes it with dry amber, desert air, warm spices, and woods: warm, dry, mineral, and smoky, with little sweetness and a medium to strong presence.
From that same world come two perfumes that we also carry: Au Coeur du Désert, an extrait with patchouli, and L'Air du Désert Marocain Noir Elixir, darker and more resinous. The rest of its creations is in the Andy Tauer collection.
Is L'Air du Désert Marocain the perfume Aire del Desierto?
Yes. L'Air du Désert Marocain means "the air of the Moroccan desert," and in Spain it is highly sought after under its translated name. It is Andy Tauer's intense eau de toilette of coriander, cumin, and petitgrain, with cistus and jasmine over cedar, vetiver, and ambergris.
How is it different from Au Coeur du Désert?
Tauer builds Au Coeur du Désert from this perfume, but as an extrait de parfum and with patchouli in the base. The house describes L'Air du Désert Marocain as dry, mineral, and smoky, and Au Coeur du Désert as more balsamic, dense, and close to the skin.
And from L'Air du Désert Marocain Noir Elixir?
It is another version, an elixir that Tauer concentrates to 30%. It adds bergamot, lemon, leather, oakmoss, and patchouli, and the brand describes it as darker, more resinous, and with more presence than the original.
